Iran and Russia sign plan to implement agreement on visa-free group travel

Head of Rostourism Zarina Doguzova and Iranian Minister of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Ali Asghar Mounesan signed an action plan on Monday in Moscow to implement an agreement between Moscow and Tehran to cancel visas for tourist groups from the two countries, Iranian Ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali, who was present at the meeting, said.


"An action plan was signed at the meeting to implement the agreement between the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the government of the Russian Federation on visa-free group travel for citizens of the two countries," he wrote on his Facebook page.


Under the agreement, tourists from both countries will be able to travel to Iran and Russia through accredited companies, with one visa for the entire group, Jalali said earlier.
