Us presidential candidate from the Democratic party Joseph Biden said that the US leader Donald Trump did not act on the issue of unconfirmed attempts attributed to Moscow by the US press to offer money to Afghan militants for the murder of American servicemen. Biden touched on this topic at a rally in Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania).
"The Kremlin set awards for the heads of American soldiers, and instead of pointing [to Russian President Vladimir Putin] to the fact that this was unacceptable, that if they allowed themselves to touch an American soldier, there would be a reckoning, the [US] President did not even raise this topic in his numerous telephone conversations, " Biden claimed. "Never before has an American President been so helpful to a Russian leader. This is not just dangerous, it is humiliating in the eyes of the rest of the world," the democratic candidate said.
Trump's Inaction
Earlier, he repeatedly stated Trump's inaction in light of the allegations spread by the American press.
"Under President Biden, America will not turn a blind eye to Russian payments for the lives of American soldiers, and I will not allow foreign interference in our sacred democratic voting procedures," the former US Vice President said in a speech on August 20 on the final day of the Democratic national Convention, at which he officially agreed to run for the highest state office.

The New York Times reported on June 26 that a certain unit of Russian military intelligence encouraged militants of the radical Taliban movement (banned in Russia) to carry out attacks on members of the international coalition in Afghanistan. The publication claimed that such conclusions of the US intelligence services were presented to Trump "several months ago", and the US national security council at the White house discussed this topic at the end of March.
In turn, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov called the mentioned statements a lie and a "paid fudge". On June 27, the Russian Foreign Ministry described the first publication on this topic in the American press as containing deliberately false information. As the Foreign Ministry pointed out, "this simple throw-in clearly illustrates the low intellectual abilities of propagandists from American intelligence, who instead of inventing something more reliable have to invent such nonsense."
Trump, who represents the Republican party, wrote on Twitter on June 28 that the US intelligence service recognized unreliable information about attempts attributed to Russia to offer a reward to Afghan militants for the murders of American soldiers. He suggested that The New York Times, the first newspaper to publish this data, could arrange "another fabricated hoax on the subject of Russia" to denigrate the Republicans.
Then high-ranking US officials repeatedly commented on this information, admitting that they found no confirmation of it.
