"From March 15 to 19, the naval forces of China, Iran, Russia and other countries will hold joint maritime exercises "Security Ties-2023" in the Gulf of Oman," the ministry said in a statement.
On the part of the People's Liberation Army Navy, the missile destroyer "Nanning" will take part in the exercise, the statement said. "It will mainly take part in practicing aerial search operations, rescue at sea, performing maritime parade formation and perform other tasks within the framework of the exercises," the statement reads.
