A meeting of CIS prime ministers has begun in Astana on Friday. The prime ministers will have to discuss more than ten issues.
Before the meeting, its participants met with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The meeting will be held in a narrow and enlarged format, and documents will be signed at the end of the meeting.
It is assumed that the prime ministers will exchange views on topical issues of economic interaction in the Commonwealth. They will also discuss an agreement on free trade in services, establishment, operation and implementation of investments, an agreement on prevention of and response to public health emergencies of sanitary and epidemiological character. The agenda includes a concept of digital transformation of chemical industries in the CIS, a concept of scientific-technical and technological cooperation, an interstate radio-navigation program for 2023-2026, an interstate target program for reclamation of territories affected by uranium mining, a plan of priority humanitarian cooperation activities for the next two years, a plan of joint actions to counter the risks of terrorism. The heads of government will also receive a report on preparations for the II CIS Games in Belarus in 2023.
Prime Ministers Alikhan Smailov (Kazakhstan), Ali Asadov (Azerbaijan), Roman Golovchenko (Belarus), Akylbek Zhaparov (Kyrgyzstan), Mikhail Mishustin (Russia), Kohir Rasulzoda (Tajikistan), Abdulla Aripov (Uzbekistan), Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan and Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Khojamurat Geldymuradov are taking part in the meeting.
