The cooperation between Russia and the OIC countries is strategic, and the turnover growth is increasing, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said on Thursday at the opening of Russia Halal Expo within the framework of the International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum-2023".
"Russia and Islamic states are linked by strong ties of friendship and deep respect. We appreciate the willingness for open and direct communication, as well as a deep understanding of our position. The strategic nature of our partnership not only strengthens relations but also opens new perspectives. The growth of Russia's trade turnover with the states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation by almost 30% over the last three years confirms that," said Khusnullin.
The ties, he said, are serious and multidimensional. He expressed the hope that the high rates of cooperation will be maintained in the future.
