Special Representative of the Russian President on Climate Issues Ruslan Edelgeriev will participate in the Week of Sustainable Development, which will be held in Abu Dhabi from 14 to 19 January. Among other things, preparations for the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change will be discussed, Edelgeriev's press service told TASS on Friday.
"We will discuss preparations for the 28th Conference of the Parties in Dubai in November-December this year, outline ways of Russian-Emirati climate cooperation in this area, a number of bilateral meetings are planned," the statement said.
