Uzbekistan calls on SCO interior ministries to expand exchange of best practices

Uzbekistan calls on the interior ministries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to expand the exchange of best practices, analytical and forecast materials in the fight against new security challenges. This was said in a statement by the President of the republic, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, on Thursday.


"Security challenges require an adequate, prompt and timely response, which imposes a special responsibility on your ministries. Under these conditions, it is important to expand the exchange of best practices, analytical and forecasting materials, conduct more joint investigative measures and expand cooperation in training," read out the Secretary of the National Security Council under the President of Uzbekistan, Viktor Makhmudov, in his welcome address to participants of the 4th Meeting of interior and public security ministers of SCO countries opened in Tashkent.


According to the head of Uzbekistan, the practical results of this meeting of heads of internal affairs bodies will help create a reliable, indivisible and effective security system for all at regional and global levels.


As the organizers of the event told reporters, the meeting is attended by representatives of the SCO observer states, as well as the organization's regional anti-terrorism center and a number of international organizations.
