Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid, during a meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov in Baghdad, emphasized Iraq’s interest in deepening cooperation with Russia across various sectors to benefit both countries.
The two sides discussed regional issues, including the situation in Syria and the Palestinian territories. President Rashid reaffirmed Iraq’s support for the Palestinian people's right to self-determination, highlighting the country's commitment to justice in the region.
Russia’s ambassador to Iraq, Elbrus Kutrashev, was also present at the meeting.
