Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will take part in the 14th Middle East Conference of the Valdai International Discussion Club on February 4, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced at a briefing.
"On February 4, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will participate in the 14th Middle East Conference of the Valdai International Discussion Club. The event will take place against the backdrop of rapidly evolving developments in the Middle East and North Africa," Zakharova stated.
The conference will focus on recent developments in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the situation in Syria, and other crisis hotspots in the region.
"Prominent foreign political analysts and experts have been invited. The event’s theme is 'Middle East 2025: Learning from the Past, Navigating the Present, and Planning for the Future,’" Zakharova added.
