Israeli Air Force fighter jets launched strikes on ground targets across eastern, northern, and southern Lebanon, according to the news portal Lebanon 24. The strikes reportedly targeted suspected firing positions, underground shelters, and weapon depots belonging to the Shiite militia Hezbollah.
One of the bombing sites was a Hezbollah base in the mountainous Janta region near the Syrian border, where a concealed underground tunnel was discovered.
Three airstrikes were carried out in the villages of Deir Ez-Zahrani and Roumine near the southern city of Nabatieh. Israeli jets also attacked Hezbollah positions on the heights of Birket Jabbour, Jabal Reihan, and Iqlim al-Tuffah, located north of the Litani River.
In the northern Hermel region, strikes hit a camp for Shiite militants near an illicit border crossing. Information on the aftermath of these attacks has not yet been disclosed.
On February 8, at least six people were killed during an air raid on the town of Nabi Sheet in the Bekaa Valley, eastern Lebanon. Earlier, Israel accused Hezbollah of violating the ceasefire agreement and attempting to smuggle weapons across the Syrian-Lebanese border.
