The fighting Russia’s "pernicious influence" is a priority for the United States budget. Such a statement, speaking to Congress, made the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
According to him, Russia «represents a threat that has gone beyond the limits of external or military aggression and now includes influence operations, the purpose of which is America and the countries of the West».
Therefore, as Pompeo noted, «the priority of the current budget is to resist the pernicious influence of Russia in Europe, Eurasia and Central Asia».
Earlier, the US Secretary of State announced new measures against Russia, which are planned to be made public this week.
