17 May 2022

The governments of Chechnya and Tatarstan plan to implement joint activities in the spheres of economy, education, construction, veterinary science and nine other areas between 2022 and 2024. The corresponding action plan was signed by the republic's leaders Ramzan Kadyrov and Rustam Minnikhanov in Grozny.

The action plan was signed as part of an agreement on cooperation in restoring the economy and reviving long-term ties that has been in effect between the regions since 2002.

"Today we have a great opportunity to visit the beautiful republic and sign the action plan, the agreement that was signed 20 years ago. I must say that Akhmad-Khadzhi Kadyrov and Mintimer Shaimiev, these were the people who formed, created the new Russia. We, the heads of regions, both the Republic of Tatarstan and the Chechen Republic, should set an example of how to organize our work and how to take care of the quality of life," said Minnikhanov.

Kadyrov noted that the peoples of the republics have long been linked by brotherly relations and the aforementioned agreement was the beginning of positive changes in Chechnya.

"The agreement has special significance for us because this document was signed by our first president, Hero of Russia Akhmad-Khadzhi Kadyrov, who gave his life for the happy future of his people and the preservation of the integrity of the Russian Federation. This event was the beginning of positive changes in our republic. Since then the Chechen Republic has contractual relations with more than forty subjects of the Russian Federation," said the head of the region.

Minnikhanov arrived in Grozny on May 17, as part of his trip he visited the grave of the first Chechen President Akhmad-Khadzhi Kadyrov and also took part in the opening ceremony of the contest "Best Taxi Driver of Russia - 2021".
