The Palestinian Ambassador to Russia, Abdel Hafiz Nofal, affirmed that the Palestinian authorities are in favor of peace and stand ready for negotiations with Israel in the interview with RTVI.
"First, we are focused on achieving a ceasefire to facilitate the delivery of aid to the Gaza Strip. After that, if there are substantial and constructive proposals for a peaceful resolution, the Palestinian authorities are fully prepared for negotiations. President Abbas strongly advocates for peace and has faced criticism for that. Palestine is genuinely eager for peace talks," he stated.
The diplomat also pointed out that the conflict was further intensified due to the formation of a hardline government in Israel, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
