UAE plans to invest over $50 billion in "green" projects inside the country in the next 10 years, and has already invested almost $17 billion in such projects abroad. UAE Ambassador to Moscow Mohammed Ahmed Al-Jaber said in an interview with TASS.

In 2023, Dubai will host the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28).

"At COP-28, the UAE will demonstrate that its approach is based on building bridges of cooperation with the international community. The UAE has pledged to invest more than $50 billion in green projects locally and abroad over the next 10 years and has already invested about $16.8 billion in projects in 70 countries," the ambassador said.

The diplomat said COP-28 will be particularly important in terms of reviewing countries' national commitments for the first time since the Paris Agreement. "Our goal is to make the COP-28 forum as inclusive and action-oriented as possible, an event that will bring together developed and developing countries, the private, public and academic sectors, and civil society around finding real solutions," he said.

The ambassador also said that the world will need dialogue and integration in the coming decades. "Ultimately, the UAE believes that the world can no longer bear the burdens of division and confrontation, and that in the coming decades the world will need more communication, integration, and cooperation in the fields of politics, economy, technology, health and food security," the diplomat said.

He said the UAE's "policies are characterized by considerable balance, dynamism, transparency and clarity, as well as a commitment to international law and respect for the sovereignty of other states." "This policy has strengthened the UAE's place in the international arena, making it a reliable political and economic partner," he noted.

The diplomat noted that "the UAE has emphasized in its foreign policy the importance of communication and dialogue to strengthen and develop effective international ties that serve its national interests." "Through a focus on building international dialogue, cooperation, and building bridges among nations, the UAE seeks to develop innovative and lasting solutions to the current challenges facing the international community," he pointed out.
