Lukoil is ready to return to Iran for the Mansouriya project in case the restrictions on work in the country are lifted, President and co-owner of the company Vagit Alekperov told reporters on the sidelines of SPIEF.

"Yes, we are interested. We have advanced far enough there, almost all the documents on the Mansouriya field are ready. As soon as all these restrictions are removed, we will be happy to resume both the negotiation process and practical work on the project," he said in response to a question about Iran. Alekperov added that the IPC contract offered by the Iranian side suits the company. Lukoil has not yet considered other projects in the country.

Alekperov also added that the company is not yet considering projects in the Arctic. "We consider only real projects," he stressed.
