Tokayev calls agreement with Russia on digital transformation of Kazakhstan strategic

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev called the agreement with Russia on the digital transformation of the republic strategic and indicative of mutual trust.


"The signing of the memorandum on cooperation between Kazakhstan and Sber Group, in my opinion, is another clear example of the successful development of bilateral cooperation on a qualitatively new basis. This project symbolizes the mutual trust of our states, so it is truly strategic in nature," he said on Friday at a signing ceremony within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).


Earlier, Kazakhstan's Prime Minister Askar Mamin and Sberbank CEO Herman Gref signed a memorandum of cooperation in the implementation of projects for Kazakhstan's digital transformation, transition to a platform model of digitalization and the concept of Data Driven Government.
