The number of Lebanese citizens killed in Israeli airstrikes in less than one year has exceeded 330, according to data released by the republic's Ministry of Health in a report posted on X.
The report states that "Israel has violated the ceasefire more than 5,000 times since the truce agreement of November 27, 2024," noting that "331 people have been killed as a result of Israeli attacks since late November last year, with another 945 injured."
The ministry's update indicates that since November 1, the number of civilian fatalities has increased by 22. In October, Israeli attacks on southern and eastern regions of the country killed 28 Lebanese citizens.
During a November 21 visit to a Lebanese military barracks in Tyre, President Joseph Aoun condemned the Israeli attacks for causing casualties and impeding the reconstruction of devastated areas.
The Israeli military command maintains that its operations in Lebanon target armed units of the Shiite movement Hezbollah, which it considers a threat to the Jewish state.
