During Russian President Vladimir Putin's state visit to Bishkek, he and Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov will adopt a joint statement on strengthening their alliance in a rapidly changing world. The visit will also feature the signing of at least seven additional documents, according to Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov.
"The presidents of Russia and Kyrgyzstan are expected to sign a joint statement on deepening their relations of alliance and strategic partnership amid a rapidly changing world," Ushakov stated. "This programmatic document outlines new large-scale objectives for further strengthening bilateral ties over the long term."
The presidential aide noted that a series of intergovernmental and commercial documents—seven in total at this stage—are slated for signing. These cover cooperation in education, economy, healthcare, migration, public health, bilateral military-technical cooperation, and an agreement between Russian Post and Kyrgyz Post.
Following the signing ceremony, the leaders will make statements to the press before attending a state reception.
