Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with heads of government of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states in Moscow, where the SCO Council of Heads of Government is currently holding its session, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov confirmed to journalists.
"President Putin is scheduled to host the heads of delegations participating in the SCO Council of Heads of Government meeting at the Kremlin today. The leaders will attend a reception where he will engage in discussions with them," Peskov stated.
The spokesperson added that the program includes addresses by President Putin, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, and other participants in an open format.
The ongoing session will conclude Russia's 2024-2025 chairmanship of the SCO Council of Heads of Government. The meeting is expected to produce a joint statement on the global economic situation and developments within the SCO region, reflecting the organization's consolidated position in support of an open, fair, and equitable multilateral trading system.
