Iran Agrees to Negotiations with US Without Predetermined Outcome

26 November

Iran is prepared to engage in genuine negotiations with the United States regarding Tehran's nuclear program, provided the outcome isn't predetermined by Washington, stated Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council.

"We agree to real negotiations, not artificial ones. The outcome of any talks shouldn't be predetermined," Larijani wrote on X, characterizing American attempts to position the US as a key mechanism in any global process as self-deception.

His statement follows Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi's November 21 announcement that Tehran remains open to reaching a nuclear agreement with Washington, though any deal must be well-balanced and consider both sides' positions.

Earlier this year, five rounds of US-Iran nuclear talks mediated by Oman concluded without results after Israel launched military operations against the Islamic Republic and American forces struck Iranian nuclear facilities.
