The peoples of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states are bound by shared historical memory and mutual respect for each other's traditions, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin stated during the SCO Council of Heads of Government meeting.
"Our peoples are connected by common historical memory and respectful attitude toward each other's cultures and traditions," the prime minister emphasized at the meeting held in Moscow's Russia National Center. "Together we recently marked the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and the founding of the United Nations," Mishustin noted.
The prime minister highlighted numerous opportunities for expanding cooperation in science, education, healthcare, youth exchanges, culture, arts, tourism, and sports. "Such initiatives are in high demand among our citizens," Mishustin stated, underscoring the importance of their prompt practical implementation.
