The Days of Russian Spiritual Culture were held in Jakarta at the Russian House, organizers told TASS.
“The events took place on December 7 at the Russian House in the Indonesian capital, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year,” they said.
Russian Culture Minister Olga Lyubimova noted that Russian culture has always found a special resonance in Indonesia — “the land of a thousand islands,” known for its diverse and unique heritage. “Amid global challenges, strengthening the dialogue between cultures is essential, and art is the universal language that speaks directly to the heart,” she emphasized. “The Days of Spiritual Culture are a long-term investment in humanitarian cooperation between Russia and Indonesia, helping build lasting connections between our nations for decades to come.”
As part of the program, the exhibition “Cultural Heritage of Russia” opened at the venue, showcasing architectural and historical landmarks from different regions of the country. The display, marking the 180th anniversary of the Russian Geographical Society, featured photographs by finalists and winners of the “The Most Beautiful Country” photo competition, organizers said.
The Days of Russian Spiritual Culture is one of the key international initiatives of the Russian Ministry of Culture, aimed at promoting the nation’s moral and cultural heritage abroad. Since its inception in 2008, the project has reached more than 50 countries. The initiative is held with support from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Russian Orthodox Church, and organized by the Russian Seasons foundation.
