On March 25, Russian President Vladimir Putin will host a video conference meeting of the Council for Culture and the Arts, coinciding with the country’s Cultural Workers’ Day. He will also personally present awards to young cultural figures at the Kremlin, according to the presidential press service.
The council meeting will cover a broad range of topics, including arts education, literature, and publishing.
During the ceremony in the Kremlin’s Catherine Hall, the president will honor young cultural professionals and authors whose works contribute to children's and young adult literature and the arts.
This year, eight individuals have been selected as laureates of the presidential cultural awards. The prize recognizes talented writers, artists, and researchers under the age of 35.
The award for young cultural figures has been presented annually since 2011, while the category for children’s and young adult literature and arts was introduced in 2013.
