The festival “Days of Astana Culture in Moscow” will take place from July 31 to August 2 in the Russian capital, according to a statement from the Russian Embassy in Kazakhstan.
The event is described as a continuation of the enhanced cultural exchanges between Russia and Kazakhstan, following the “Days of Moscow Culture in Astana” held in December of the previous year.
The festival's program includes:
- July 31: The Astana Musical Theater for Young Spectators (MTYuz) will present the ethnic-folklore musical “Kyz Zhibek” at the Moscow Theater “School of Dramatic Art.” The musical, with a libretto by Kazakh writer, theater critic, and playwright Gabit Musrepov, is based on a Kazakh folk poem of the same name.
- August 1: MTYuz will showcase the musical drama “Gauhartas.”
- August 2: Lublin Park will host the opening of the photo exhibition “Astana - My Love,” featuring works by Kazakh photographers.
The festival will conclude with a “Gala Concert of Masters of Arts of Astana” at the Moscow International House of Music.
Additionally, the festival will include a series of meetings between officials from Astana and Moscow, as well as round tables with experts and business representatives.
