New Modern Resource Center "Russia is With You" Opens in Kyrgyzstan

15 October

A new modern resource center called "Russia is with You" was officially opened at the Kasymaaly Bayalinov Republican Library for Children and Youth in the capital of Kyrgyzstan. The announcement was made by the Russian Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) in the republic.

The center, supported by Rossotrudnichestvo and refurbished by Russian compatriots’ organizations, was described as a "unique cultural space." Russian designers helped create comfortable areas for lectures, exhibitions, discussion clubs, themed studios, and workshops. The center also features a play area for young children, equipped with interactive books, special learning pens, electronic posters, and a table for watching Russian cartoons.

At the opening ceremony, Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy, Gulbara Abdykalykova, praised the center as a symbol of the strong friendship between Kyrgyzstan and Russia. She highlighted that the center reflects centuries of shared traditions and expressed confidence that it will foster humanitarian cooperation between the two nations.

Before the end of the year, the center will host various events involving Russian scientists, educators, and developers of modern learning tools. These include immersive masterclasses on physics and biology for high school students and their teachers, as well as interactive sessions on robotics and the traditions of the Russian engineering school.

The announcement also noted that a similar center is set to open in Tajikistan.
