Your experienced educators, cutting-edge educational technologies, and robust research infrastructure empower you to look confidently toward the future and unite talented, motivated, and ambitious young people at the leading university of the Volga region.”

The president highlighted the university's illustrious history, which includes a constellation of eminent scholars, professors, and globally renowned research schools.

“Of course, the university's greatest pride lies in its distinguished alumni, who have made tremendous contributions to the advancement of our nation's economy, medicine, education, science, literature, and culture. Many have also excelled in public service, state governance, and military duty,” Putin added.

Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University, one of the oldest higher education institutions in Russia, is among the country's ten federal universities. It was founded on November 17 (November 5, Old Style) in 1804 as the Imperial Kazan University.
