Russia and the UAE continue to place a high priority on humanitarian and cultural exchanges, with significant growth in both education and science, President Vladimir Putin said during negotiations with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
"We traditionally devote special attention to our humanitarian contacts. Just this past November, we celebrated Russian Culture Days in the United Arab Emirates," the Russian leader noted. He also pointed to the booming tourism industry, highlighting that 1.5 million Russian tourists visited the UAE in the first nine months of 2025 — a robust 18% increase over the previous year.
The president gave particular weight to the progress in science and education.
"The Primakov Gymnasium in the Moscow region continues its successful partnership through its cooperation center, which we visited together in 2024. Today, we see branches of this gymnasium and Plekhanov University operating directly in the UAE," Putin stated. He further shared ambitious plans to establish a dedicated Russian university in the Emirates, alongside a youth science park under the auspices of Russia’s Sirius center.
