The “Wow! Russia” competition has officially begun for international students studying at Russian universities, the ANO “National Priorities” press service told TASS.
Organized by ANO “National Priorities” with support from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN), the contest aims to build a community among international students and promote Russian education globally. TASS serves as the project's general information partner, with the initiative implemented under the national “Youth and Children” project.
According to the organizers, Russia currently ranks among the world's top 10 education exporters, hosting students from over 170 countries. Russian universities maintain strong reputations for teaching quality in engineering, medicine, and humanities disciplines.
The competition invites international students to create and share media content about their lives, studies, and cultural experiences in Russia. Participants publish these materials on social media in their native languages, offering personal perspectives on studying in Russia.
“International students have become vital members of our university communities and ambassadors for Russian education worldwide,” said Sofia Malyavina, General Director of ANO “National Priorities”. “Through ‘Wow! Russia,’ we're giving them a platform to share their authentic experiences of studying and living here in their own languages. Such projects not only build international student communities but also help the world see contemporary Russia — open, strong in science and education.”
