All employees of the Russian Embassy in Kabul are safe

All employees of the Russian Embassy in Kabul are safe, the Russian diplomatic mission told TASS on Friday, commenting on information that appeared in the media that the head of the Afghan government information center was killed near the Russian embassy in Kabul.



"We have no reliable information about the incident yet. All the employees of the embassy are safe, no one was hurt," the agency's interlocutor said.


In response to a clarifying question about the incident, the embassy indicated that it knew about it "from the news, nothing more."
Earlier on Friday, 1TV channel reported on the murder of Davakkhan Minapal, the head of Afghan government's information center, by unknown assailants in Kabul. The incident, according to the TV channel, took place in front of the Russian Embassy in the country. In its turn, TOLO News TV channel, quoting its sources, reported that Minapal was killed by unknown gunmen on Dar-ul-Aman Avenue leading to the palace with the same name that houses the guesthouse of the Presidential Administration. The building of the Russian diplomatic mission is on the same avenue.
