Another group of Russian peacekeepers arrived from Almaty at the Chkalovsky airfield by 14 aircraft

All 14 IL-76s of the Russian Air Force military transport aircraft with Russian CSTO peacekeepers that departed Monday night from Almaty have landed at the Chkalovsky airfield near Moscow, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.


"All 14 Russian Air Force Il-76 military transport aircraft scheduled for today with Russian peacekeepers from the CSTO collective peacekeeping forces have arrived at the Chkalovsky airfield from Kazakhstan," the statement said.


Airborne troops unload armament, military equipment, and property at the airfield of Chkalovsky, after that they will march to the permanent deployment point.


On Monday IL-76 transport airplanes of the Russian Air Force will deliver personnel and equipment of the airborne troops who fulfill their tasks in the collective peacekeeping forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization to the airfield Vostochny in the Ulyanovsk region.


The return of all peacekeepers to their permanent bases is planned to be completed by January 19.
