Azerbaijani President Pleased with Development of Ties between Baku and Moscow

22 April

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev expressed his satisfaction with the development of ties between Baku and Moscow. "We are very satisfied with the way our ties are developing," he said at the opening of talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Moscow.

Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan and Russia have been collaborating for over two years within the framework of the Declaration on Allied Cooperation signed by the presidents of both countries in February 2022. Emphasizing the significance of this document, Aliyev stated, "As you noted, the agenda is quite extensive. It includes a transportation component - which we will discuss today - specifically, the project of the North-South International Transport Corridor, uniting our countries and our partners. This project holds global importance for cargo transportation safety and for stimulating trade relations among many countries."

Aliyev expressed confidence that the meeting with Putin would provide a new impetus to the development of relations between the two countries.
