Bogdanov and Iran's Ambassador Stress Against Escalation in the Middle East

Russian Presidential Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov held discussions with Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali regarding the situations in the Gaza Strip and Syria. Both parties underscored the importance of avoiding escalation and refraining from unilateral actions, as stated by the Russian MFA.

 

"The conversation revolved around the current state of affairs in the Middle East, particularly focusing on the situations in Syria and the Gaza Strip. Both parties emphasized the importance of preventing further escalation of violence, including any unilateral actions that could exacerbate armed conflict in the region," highlighted the ministry.

 

The Russian MFA further stated that Bogdanov and Jalali acknowledged "the consistent commitment of Moscow and Tehran to engage in active political dialogue and coordinate approaches for the peaceful resolution of crises and conflicts in the Middle East."
