Greek Orthodox Church in Gaza Destroyed in Israeli Bombardment

The Greek Orthodox Church of St. Porphyrios in Gaza City has been destroyed due to Israeli airstrikes, killing a girl and wounding many. This information was reported by the Greek TV channel ERT-1, citing the Gaza Interior Ministry.

 

The Gaza Interior Ministry confirmed that the building of the Greek Orthodox Church of St. Porphyrios in Gaza City collapsed as a consequence of Israeli air raids. They also verified the presence of wounded individuals among those who sought shelter in the church.

 

 

ERT-1 TV channel reported that approximately 50 people were inside the church at the time of the attack, with a majority of them being children and women. Initial reports indicate the loss of a young girl's life.

 

Meanwhile, according to Al Jazeera's correspondent in Gaza City, at least two individuals were killed, and numerous people sustained injuries during an Israeli bombing on the Greek Orthodox Church of St. Porphyrios in the Gaza Strip. The church had provided refuge for hundreds of people.
