Islamic Countries Adopt Final Statement Following OIC Foreign Ministers Meeting

The foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states issued a final statement following their meeting in Jeddah. The document is published on the OIC website.

 

TASS highlights the main points:

 

— The Palestinian National Authority (PNA), based in Ramallah, should assume full control over all Palestinian territories and ensure their security.

 

— The OIC member states called for an end to all arms and ammunition supplies to Israel to prevent violent actions against Palestinians.

 

— Israeli authorities must immediately cease all military operations in the Gaza Strip and lift the siege without any preconditions.

 

— The OIC member countries condemned that Israel rejects peaceful initiatives to resolve the Gaza conflict and its unwillingness to cooperate with mediators to establish a ceasefire in the Palestinian enclave.

 

— The OIC member states will work towards suspending Israel’s membership in the United Nations.

 

— They also called for holding Israel accountable at the International Court of Justice for committing war crimes and genocide against Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.
