Kazakhstan is committed to developing comprehensive relations with Russia in all sectors, Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov stated during a meeting with his Russian counterpart, Mikhail Mishustin.
"Our key task is to ensure the full practical implementation of agreements reached at the highest level. The Kazakh government is ready to closely cooperate and develop full-scale collaboration in all areas," Bektenov said, according to the government's press service. He emphasized that joint efforts by Presidents Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Vladimir Putin have elevated bilateral cooperation to a qualitatively new level.
Mishustin, in turn, described Kazakhstan as a "strategic partner and ally" of Russia. He noted that during Putin’s recent state visit to Kazakhstan, important agreements were reached on further strengthening bilateral ties. "It is the responsibility of our governments to ensure the clear implementation of the agreements made by our leaders," Mishustin stressed.
Mishustin is currently on an official visit to Kazakhstan. On January 31, he will travel to Almaty to participate in a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and attend the Digital Almaty 2025 technology forum.
