Russia has no shortage of working contacts on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict subject with either Azerbaijan or Turkey, the dialogue is ongoing and at a high level, and telephone contacts directly with heads of state depend on their working schedules and expediency, Russian President's Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
"It depends on working schedules of the presidents and their expediency. You know that this does not mean at all that the Russian side has some deficit in working contacts," Peskov said, answering a question about why Russian President Vladimir Putin has spoken three times to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan since the beginning of the conflict in Karabakh, but never to the Presidents of Turkey and Azerbaijan Tayyip Erdogan and Ilham Aliyev.
The Kremlin representative stressed that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is in constant contact with his colleagues from both Azerbaijan and Turkey.
"Therefore, the Russian-Turkish and Russian-Azerbaijani dialogue on the Karabakh conflict topic is carried out at a high level and on a permanent basis," the spokesperson for the Russian President said.
