Russian Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko has highlighted the importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation between Russia and Egypt in a congratulatory message to Egyptian Senate Chairman Abdel Wahab Abdel Razek on Revolution Day.
“I am confident that the considerable experience of Russian-Egyptian inter-parliamentary contacts will further strengthen the entire range of our bilateral relations for the benefit of our peoples,” Matviyenko stated.
The senior Russian legislator emphasized Egypt's role as one of Russia's key partners in North Africa, noting the “multi-faceted, constructive nature” of bilateral ties. She pointed to successful expansion of trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation, including within the BRICS framework.
