A patrol in the Syrian province of Al-Hasakah could not be carried out in full due to the forced landing of a Russian Mi-35 helicopter, Rear Admiral Vyacheslav Sytnik, the Deputy Head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria (part of the Russian Defense Ministry), said.

"The army aviation forces did not carry out air patrols in full. The Mi-35 helicopter made a forced landing during the patrol for technical reasons," Sytnik said during a briefing on Sunday.

On Sunday, the Mi-35 made an emergency landing for technical reasons while carrying out a routine air patrol of the territory of the Al-Hasakah province. As the Russian Defense Ministry clarified earlier, the crew of the helicopter was promptly brought to the airfield by a search and rescue service. There is no threat to the life of the pilots. In their turn, the crew reported that there was no fire impact on the helicopter.
