President of Russia Vladimir Putin, along with leaders and representatives from several foreign states, will deliver speeches at the Global Atomic Forum taking place in Moscow as part of World Atomic Week, September 25–28. Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov announced that the forum at VDNH will feature addresses from heads of state and government on the major milestones and future of nuclear technologies.
According to Peskov, Rosatom’s Director General Alexei Likhachev will welcome the international guests. Among the prominent participants are Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Myanmar’s acting president Min Aung Hlaing, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, and IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi. Other notable attendees include Iran’s Vice President and head of the Atomic Energy Organization Mohammad Eslami, Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev, and representatives from Egypt, Niger, and several international organizations.
