Russian President Vladimir Putin and Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a phone conversation in which both leaders expressed satisfaction with the high level of strategic partnership and alliance between their two countries, according to a statement from the Kremlin press service.
“The leaders expressed satisfaction with the high level of Russia-Uzbekistan relations of strategic partnership and alliance, and reaffirmed their mutual commitment to further comprehensive development of these ties,” the statement said.
Additionally, President Putin warmly congratulated President Mirziyoyev on his birthday during the call. Earlier, the Russian president had also sent a congratulatory telegram.
