Russian President Vladimir Putin and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed satisfaction with the positive momentum of their bilateral cooperation, which continues to develop actively in all areas. The Kremlin press service reported this following a phone conversation between the two leaders.
"The leaders expressed satisfaction with the positive dynamics of bilateral cooperation, which is actively progressing in all directions. They noted a significant increase in trade turnover, the successful implementation of major joint projects in the energy sector and industrial cooperation, as well as productive regional contacts," the statement said.
Putin and Mirziyoyev also reaffirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening the Russia-Uzbekistan strategic partnership and alliance, as well as enhancing cooperation between governments, relevant ministries, and agencies.
