Lebanese Ambassador to Moscow, Shawki Bou Nassar, has been awarded the Order of Friendship for his significant contributions to the development of relations between the two countries. The corresponding decree by Russian President Vladimir Putin was published on the official legal information portal.
“For his substantial contribution to strengthening Russian-Lebanese relations, to award the Order of Friendship to Shawki Bou Nassar, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic to the Russian Federation,” the document states.
Shawki Bou Nassar has served as Lebanon’s ambassador to Russia since October 2013. In September 2022, he became the dean of the Arab diplomatic corps in Moscow.
