Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a greeting to the participants and guests of the 15th Verona Eurasian Economic Forum, noting that Russia will continue its efforts to build stability and prosperity in Greater Eurasia. The telegram was published Thursday on the Kremlin website.

"Every year the importance of Eurasia grows, new centers of economic growth are being strengthened, integration groupings are being established and their potentials are being juxtaposed. Cooperation of the region's states is based on the principles of sovereignty, equality, mutual trust and respect. Russia, for its part, will continue to make active efforts aimed at creating a pan-continental space of peace, stability and prosperity in Greater Eurasia," the message says.

The president pointed out that this forum, dedicated to the problems of cooperation in the Eurasian space, is held in Baku for the first time. "I am sure that in the capital of Azerbaijan, located where Europe and Asia meet, you will fully feel the powerful potential of the continent's countries and peoples living here," Putin added.

According to the president, during its 15-year history, the Verona Eurasian Economic Forum has gained a high reputation as an international platform for a serious, substantive conversation on the development of multi-faceted cooperation in the territory of Greater Eurasia. "Prominent politicians, heads of leading companies, scientists, experts, diplomats and journalists from different countries take part in broad and constructive discussions. Such open communication is especially in demand under the current conditions, when the world is going through an era of revolutionary transformations and the formation of a fair multipolar world order," the president stressed.

Putin expressed confidence that the forum will be held successfully, and the "verona" format discussion of the situation in the world and Eurasia will not only allow to fully realize the realities of today, but also provide an opportunity to look into the future, and set goals and prospects for a new balanced and equitable model of relations between countries and different integration organizations of Greater Eurasia. The president wished the participants of the forum fruitful work and all the best.
