27 January

Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold negotiations with his Syrian counterpart, Ahmed al-Sharaa, on January 28 during al-Sharaa's working visit to the Russian Federation.

"The agenda includes discussing the current state and prospects for developing bilateral ties in various fields, as well as the prevailing situation in the Middle East region," the Kremlin stated regarding the upcoming talks.

Al-Sharaa previously traveled to Russia for a working visit in October 2025, during which Russian-Syrian negotiations were held at the Kremlin.
