Russia has welcomed the signing of the state border agreement between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, stating that it will contribute to regional stability and security. This was announced in a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“Russia welcomes the signing of the State Border Agreement between the Republic of Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Tajikistan on March 13. There is no doubt that the implementation of this agreement will strengthen stability and security in Central Asia. Moreover, relations between Russia's allies and strategic partners—Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan—will reach a new qualitative level,” the ministry stated.
The ministry emphasized that this agreement was made possible due to the political will of both countries' leaders and the extensive work of governmental delegations on border delimitation and demarcation.
“As an ally, Russia has always provided political and diplomatic support to its partners in Bishkek and Dushanbe to facilitate the final resolution of border issues,” the statement added.
