Senegalese Foreign Minister Describes Relations with Russia as Fraternal

29 August

Senegal's relations with Russia are characterized by friendship and fraternity, according to Senegal's Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Integration, Yassine Fall. She made this statement during talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

“Our relations are based on friendship and fraternal ties, as highlighted by the congratulatory messages sent by our President Bassirou Diomaye Faye to President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin,” Fall remarked.

She also expressed Dakar's readiness to establish a political dialogue with Moscow and to collaborate in the economic sphere.

In July, Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye hosted Russian Presidential Special Envoy for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov. During their meeting, they discussed the expansion of trade, economic, and investment partnerships, as well as the implementation of joint projects in geological exploration, mining, mineral processing, energy, and agriculture.
