WHO: No Major Functioning Hospitals Left in Northern Gaza

28 December

The Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza ceased operations following an Israeli airstrike during the night of December 27, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).

"The overnight raid on Kamal Adwan Hospital has rendered the last major medical facility in northern Gaza non-operational," the WHO announced on its platform.

The organization reported that 60 healthcare workers and 25 critically ill patients, including those on ventilators, remain inside the hospital.

The Gaza Ministry of Health stated that the airstrike killed at least 50 people, including five medical staff members.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) later claimed in a Telegram post that "the hospital serves as a Hamas terrorist center in northern Gaza, which militants have utilized throughout the war."
