Russia, alongside its Arab partners, remains dedicated to ensuring that justice prevails in resolving the Palestinian issue, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said during a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Gorchakov Fund.
"It is wrong that the Palestinian-Israeli conflict — perhaps the oldest of its kind, which the General Assembly appeared to resolve as far back as 1948 — is now being pushed to the background. It is drifting further and further away from the fundamental principles established by the General Assembly for its settlement. This is unjust, and together with our Arab and Muslim friends, we will strive to ensure that justice is served in full accordance with the resolutions of the UN General Assembly and the Security Council," Lavrov stated.
