President Vladimir Putin and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas are set to meet at the Kremlin to discuss bilateral relations and the evolving situation in the Middle East. The agenda for the Palestinian leader's visit to Moscow was confirmed by the Kremlin press service.
"The leaders plan to review the current state and prospects of bilateral ties across the trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian sectors," the statement noted. "A primary focus will be placed on the situation in the Middle East, specifically the ongoing crisis in the Gaza Strip."
President Abbas will be in Russia from January 21–22 for an official working visit.
