Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and interaction in Eurasian integration associations in a telephone conversation with his counterpart from Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Tuesday, the Kremlin press service reported.
" The sides discussed key topics on the bilateral agenda, steps to expand mutually beneficial trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as issues of interaction within the framework of Eurasian integration associations, including in view of Uzbekistan's current chairmanship in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization," the Kremlin said in a statement.
In addition, the leaders also touched on topical international and regional issues. At the end of the conversation, Putin and Mirziyoyev confirmed the mutual desire to further strengthen bilateral relations of strategic partnership and alliance.
The conversation took place at the initiative of the Uzbek side, and the presidents agreed to continue regular contacts at various levels.
